Making holiday fudge with my mother was always a real treat. One year she shared a story from her childhood: Mom would take her mom's fudge to school, one large piece. At school, she cut it in half and shared one of the resulting two pieces with a friend. That friend would share her piece with another friend in the same way: cut in half and share one of the two pieces. This sharing continued, and by the end of the day, it seemed as though everyone had enjoyed a piece of fudge.
