During the five years since the release of the Curriculum and Evaluation Standards for School Mathematics (1989), NCTM membership has increased from 77000 (54000 individuals) to 106000 (79000 individuals). These totals include both individual and institutional members. The most recent issues of the Arithmetic Teacher, Mathematics Teacher, and Journal for Research in Mathematics Education had circulations of 67000, 61000, and 12000, respectively.

The following report gives a brief summary of the receipts and expenditures of the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics for the 1963-64 fiscal year, which ended May 31, 1964. Actual receipts were approximately $22,000 more than the expected receipts, while the expenditures were approximately $29,000 less than was budgeted.

Our rate of membership growth has continued to be large, as indicated by the totals in the report which follows. We can all be proud of the increase of 4,103 individual members and 4,311 institutional subscriptions.

Our membership growth has continued to be large, as indicated by the totals in the report which follows. We can all be proud of the increase of 6,076 members and subscribers. The greatest amount of growth has again been in the institutional subscriptions to The Arithmetic Teacher. The increase here was 29 percent.
