Amy Noelle Parks is a former primary grades teacher and is now an associate professor at Michigan State University. She is the author of Exploring Mathematics through Play in Early Childhood Classrooms.

Tomoko Wakabayashi is an associate professor in Human Development and Child Studies at Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan. She was formerly director of HighScope's Center for Early Education Evaluation, where she led multiple early childhood studies, including a study to validate the effectiveness of HighScope's early mathematics curriculum.

Beth Hardin is the research coordinator at the HighScope Center for Early Education Evaluation. She has been involved since 1998 in the data collection effort of Michigan's state-funded preschool program evaluation, including follow up of longitudinal sample of study participants.
