Cathy J. Kinzer, cakinzer@nmsu.edu, is a mathematics educator at New Mexico State University who works with preservice and in-service teachers in mathematics. Her research interests in elementary school math include providing accessible learning opportunities for English language learners.

Ted Stanford, stanford@nmsu.edu, is on the faculty in the Department of Mathematical Sciences at New Mexico State University. He frequently teaches math courses for preservice teachers. For the last eight years, he has worked on professional development for in-service teachers through several grant projects.
