“Do kids learn from teachers, or do teachers learn from kids?” asked a first grader of her teacher. She was a member of a class in which students were encouraged to use natural strategies to solve a variety of mathematics tasks, and to ask questions. The power of a problem-solving classroom is generated by an environment in which both teachers and students continually learn from one another.
