She is interested in studying learning theories and corresponding instructional strategies for the development of meaningful instruction for rational numbers among learners of all levels.
Rachael M. Welder, rachael@rachaelwelder.com, is an assistant professor of mathematics education at Hunter College, the City University of New York, in Manhattan. She is interested in how teachers acquire mathematical knowledge for teaching, especially in the area of rational numbers, and the development of mathematical tasks for elementary school and middle school teachers and students.
