Shelli L. Casler-Failing, sfailing@parkerschool.org, teaches mathematics to grades 5-8 at Robert C. Parker School in Wynantskill, New York. She is a student in the Curriculum and Instruction doctoral program at the University at Albany. Her interests include writing in mathematics and how writing improves students' skills and attitudes toward mathematics.
