Delving Deeper: Multiplying Everything Using the Difference of Two Squares

Great music and stories can take us to unexpected places and bring us great joy in the process. So can numbers. In our high school courses, we often skim surfaces that cover fascinating mathematics. This article is about my exploration of the difference of two squares formula and how it relates to prime numbers. You may want to use a calculator or pencil and paper as you read this so that you can play along.
