Sandra R. Madden, smadden@umass.edu, is an associate professor of mathematics and statistics education at the University of Massachusetts–Amherst. Her research interests include teacher learning, statistics education, mathematics curriculum, and the use of dynamic technological tools for teaching and learning mathematics.

Alicia C. Gonzales, acgonzales@umass.edu, is a graduate student at the University of Massachusetts–Amherst. She is interested in how students use tools and technologies to further their understanding and empowerment in mathematics.
