I predict that this book will exert a strong influence on future research in mathematics education. For those who do not know me, I should say that I do not often go around making such dogmatic statements. But the book has so much worth that I am not even going to bother to rephrase my prediction in the form of a null hypothesis! When you have read it you are bound to agree.
